Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series and was released in August 2012 for Windows, macOS, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

In CS:GO, players join terrorist or counter-terrorist teams and complete objectives or eliminate the enemy team. The game features a variety of weapons and equipment that can be purchased with in-game currency, which is earned by winning matches or completing objectives.

One of the unique aspects of CS:GO is its weapon skin system, which allows players to purchase and trade virtual weapon skins to customize the appearance of their in-game weapons.

CS:GO also includes a competitive matchmaking system, which pits players against others of similar skill level, as well as a casual mode for more relaxed play. Additionally, there's a big esports scene for the game, where professional teams compete in tournaments around the world for large prize pools.
